Twenty six years ago I saw my first silver Persian at a cat show in Madison Square Garden and fell in love. I saw Becky Jones there with a beautiful Exton silver and I met Janice Reichle with her gorgeous kittens there. Janice gave me her card and I contacted her about getting a showable female from her. I visited a couple times and she finally had something for me. It turned out that we hit it off and I admired her so much. We started showing together and she invited me to her house to teach me the art of cats.

The female I got from Janice was Destiny and I called her Dusty. She was beautiful and with Janice's help I granded her. She became GC Diadem's Destiny of Coty. I bred her several times and had three litter with a total of 11 kittens. Two went to breeders that were friends of Janice and then I retired to raise my 10 children. I divorced and moved from N.J. to the Poconos on Lake Wallenpaupack. My children grew and left and my last son, Tim is a junior at University of Rochester and so, I now want to get back to showing and breeding the Silvers that I so love.

I was very fortunate when Munira Murrey placed Ch. Missionhill Artemis of Coty with me. He is a massive boy with extreme type and a very sweet face.  I was fortunate to get such a good male since I had been out of the fancy for years.  I  then add Brettachtal Aphrodite of Coty from Karin Sinn to my new breeding program .  Janice gave me the names of some breeders to contact. I now have a gorgeous baby from Brenda Whyde-Parrish of Meadowpurrs named Willow.

I have made some friends in the fancy that I trust and was very fortunate to be trusted with such lovely cats. I have a PKD negative cattery and my cats are not caged. I feel I want to always have few enough permanent cats in my house as to call them my pets too. I must say if you are new to the fancy look for friends you can trust to help you get started. I wasn't new but things had changed and my dear friend Janice had retired. I hope I can help people get started or help if someone needs something I have. My goal is to improve the breed and never lose site of what makes silver Persians so special.
